Maritessa is honored to serve on the CDP API Caucus Board and looks forward to increasing membership, improving outreach efforts, and building stronger relationships with Democratic leaders.
As the Membership Director for the California Women Lead Sacramento Chapter, Maritessa is passionate about empowering women to be active politically. In 2010, she helped Emily Murase win her campaign for the San Francisco Unified School Board. Professionally, she has worked at the California School Boards Association where she was responsible for two grassroots advocacy programs.
Maritessa is a graduate student studying Public Policy at CSU, Sacramento and is a proud alumna of UC Berkeley where she was a student leader and activist for affordable student fees. She currently serves on the Cal Alumni Association Board of Directors.
