Clark Lee: State Chair

A first generation American, Clark has been an activist and campaign professional for over a decade, working to elect many Democrats, register Democrats, train candidates and staff, and protect voting rights. He is currently the full-time political director of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party (LACDP).

Clark has worked on many statewide, legislative and local campaigns and for elected officials and government agencies since 2001 as staff member, consultant, or advisor, such as Judy Chu for Congress, Alliance for a Better California – Los Angeles County, John Kerry for President – California, Governor Gray Davis, and California Democratic Party.

As an activist, he currently serves as a CDP Executive Board Member and a Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters Board Member. Previously, he has served as CDP API Caucus Southern Chair, CDP Platform Plank Co-Chair, LACDP Regional Vice Chair, California Young Democrats/California College Democrats Communications Director, and College Democrats of America Western Region Director.

Clark graduated from Claremont McKenna College with Honors. He is a recipient of the CDP John F. Kennedy Jr. Award for Outstanding Public Service, the CDP Region 16 Democrat of the Year Award, the Los Angeles County Democratic Party Franklin & Eleanor Roosevelt Democrat of the Year Award, the Claremont McKenna College Philip Roland Prize for Excellence in Public Affairs, the New Leaders Council 40 Under 40 Emerging Leader Award, the American Association of Political Consultants’ Gold and Silver Pollie Awards, and named “Rising Star” by the Campaigns & Elections Magazine. He is fluent in Chinese Mandarin and Taiwanese.
